Q4 2023 Recap: Fitness and Weight Loss Apps on Android in Brazil

As the year 2023 came to a close, the fitness and weight loss app market in Brazil showed a variety of trends in user engagement and downloads. This recap, powered by data from Sensor Tower, focuses on the performance of top apps in this category on the Android platform during the fourth quarter of the year.

StepWinner experienced a decline in downloads from 120K in late September to 8K by mid-December. Weekly active users peaked at 275K in late November before settling to 170K by the end of December.

Jolly Steps, despite being a newer entry with its release in April 2023, saw its downloads drop from 73K to 8K in the same period. The number of active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from 139K to 111K by the quarter's end.

Lastly, Weight Loss for Women: Workout demonstrated a consistent download rate, ending the quarter with 37K, up from 35K at the start. Revenue saw a positive shift from $45 to $155. The app's active users saw a remarkable jump from 27K to 44K at the quarter's conclusion.
